Dow at a new record, but far from the real bubble potential of... 42000

Today the Dow Jones Industrial Average marked a new historical record. Wall Street is happy, the crisis is behind us, at last we surpassed the pre-crisis level, and the asset value loss is erased. I think before we go to the profit ecstasy, we must first take in mind that when Wall Street is going excellent while the real economy is going tragically, this must make us expect some rebalancing :)

EU to abort the unborn yet austerity

After the last EU finance ministers meeting it became clear that austerity measures will be loosened. Led by France much problematic governments declared that they will not fill the targets for spending cuts and deficit size. This happens although serious reforms in EU are not still implemented and as a result the economy continues on its way down, under high redistribution, high taxes, excessive regulation and generous and expensive welfare system. More and more consumers, less and less producers…

Another failure of stimulus concept

There have already been at least 4 years of speedy money print (called stimulus) and a constant excessive (high deficit) government spending in an effort to awake the economy of USA, EU and Japan. And the result is… zero… Isn’t it time to stop and think about this? Just a small thinking before the next repeat of the same obviously not working strategy…

What a miracle: the sequester happened…

Sequester is fact. Let’s hope it is only the first step of the many steps needed to avert the USA from the choking socialism to some more normal and logical type of economy. If you look at American economy in last 20-25 years you will see an increase in government intervention and a decrease in real economy, producing and winning markets. And if you look at the Chinese economy at the same time, you will see exactly the opposite. And that is the difference between socialism and capitalism.
